After the phenomenal success of a number of Hollywood blockbusters, charming groups of all ages comes yet another clever holographic production of Bionaut Films – ‘Who’s Afraid of the Wolf’. the movie is all about a 6-year old girl who sets perspectives regarding her serious family matters, a storey beautifully mounted and tightly scripted by Czech helmer-writer Maria Prochazkova. A wondrously inventive and irresistibly played arthouse release, the movie is an appeal to all its viewers to in search of a quality material that parents and children’s can both enjoy together.

Czech Republic Prague set tale of a sensitive child Terezka (Dorotka Dedkova) whose favorite bedtime story is ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, though this storey gives her nightmares all throughout. Her family members consists of a loving but workaholic father (Pavel Reznicek), a tightly wound mother (Jitka Cvancarova) how was once a promising singer who put her carrier on hold to make a family, a critical granny(Jana Krausova) who game plans her daughter to her ex-boyfriend Patrick(Martin Hofmann) who is a selfish musician.

Terezka and her best friend Simon (Matous Kranita) in kindergarten excitedly share their uprooting knowledge of worldly elated tidbit, including their growing knowledge of how to identify aliens. The whole storey takes a major turn around when another tyke lands into relationship where Terezka doubts weather her mom really is her mother, subsections surrounding all through at different surroundings of the movie.

The movie skillfully shows on one level how impressionable youngsters rely on TV and their own observations rationally for explanations of what they are experiencing. The movie also plays perfectly on the love triangle of Terezka’s mother who has to make hard decision between a loving family with a husband who reps safety and routine and the other men ho would fulfill her ambition of a great musician.

Reviewed at Berlin Film Festival (Generation Kplus), Feb. 10, 2008, running time 90 MIN, ‘Who IS afraid of the Wolf’ is a storey that conveys a message for all.
